Well after all the captains went through the results with a fine tooth comb, we can officially release the final standings.
Week 3:
Week 3 didn't turn out to be the double workout many anticipated but the technicality ramped up. With one second being awarded per rep that wasn't finished, the final result was:
5th: Red - 175 minutes and 3 seconds
4th: Purple - 174 minutes and 35 seconds
3rd: Gold - 172 minutes and 43 seconds
2nd: Blue - 172 minutes and 07 seconds
1st: Green - 162 minutes and 08 seconds
Final Standings:
The final standings came out close, Gold can not sleep at night knowing if each person had simply got 3 more reps in the final workout, they would have won...
Equal 4th: Red/Blue on 11 points
3rd: Purple on 10 points
2nd: Gold on 6 points
1st: Green on 5 points
From the captain's mouth:
Nate (Red): "I'm proud of our effort but after winning week 1, booking the celebratory team trip to Fiji was potentially premature. Wasn't our year.
Wacey (Blue): 5th week 1, 4th week 2 and then 2nd week 3. We just peaked a little late, sometimes you get it right but at the elite level inches are chasms. If you don't win you learn.
Purple (Niki): For my first year at the helm I think we went well. The main thing we will focus on next year is being fitter.
Jess (Gold): I wasn't sure what to expect for my first year, but to be honest to even get close to Green was an honour. Proud of my unit.
Jason (Green): After being 4th the first week I just said - I picked you all for a reason and it's going to be a hell of a song when we win it from here. The beers will go down well tonight.
Thanks to everyone who was involved in a great year.
If you got a quarter-final invite and you're interested, please contact Jason before the end of the week so we can organize what we are doing.
