Nervous before the final workout was released, I stayed up all night trying to figure out where the sun was, and then it dawned on me... "Three weeks of the Open just wasn't enough" something that not one person said post 22.3 after a gruelling Fran like combo.
The chant "Sliding down a waterfall, landing on a cactus, blue can do anything without any practice" rung out before heat one started. Mr B declared the result a foregone conclusion and Cam said he was going to do the maths Sunday night and then figure out if he even needed to do the workout on Monday for Blue to clinch victory.
Another open workout, and another new rolls off fresh tape down and we were ready to go.
With one of the better Friday Night Lights in memory, there was something going on everywhere you looked with people getting their first pull ups, chest to bar pull ups, double unders or muscle ups.
Things Gary heard: "Yeah it's not gonna get done this week" - Mitch when asked when he was coming in to do the workout this week.
"I'm sending it from the start and I'm going unbroken" - Conor. (Everyone assumed he was joking).
"I thought this was the end of me" - Ervin after amazingly completing the workout post COVID.
Notable performances: _ After getting her first Muscle Up during the workout and the whole room screaming in excitement, Greta managed to have a completely neutral face. Impressive emotive composure. _ Brett getting the chassis out much the excitement of the female contingent _ Sarah and Laura for getting the same score and the same timebreak. They have offered for a 1 minute Echo Bike Max calorie test to break the tie. _ I feel the section it. would be a little unfair to get into the specifics of people's efforts as almost everyone really performed well in either getting difficult exercises done, moving serious thruster load or getting deep into the workout.

While the Open is always a hectic period the huge rego numbers we get each year is a real testament I think to the great attitude everyone has and the fun environment that is created. We appreciate the way everyone participated and their attitudes.
