When, how and why did you get started with us? I started with CFC back when it was still Southern. I think it was 2015. I’d been at Cooee Crossfit and that closed and this turned out to be a good option. What would be your dream workout? Crossfit Total. Pretty much anything with a one-rep max. What workout would you want to avoid? It used to be anything with running but I’ve just taken the view that if it’s something I’m bad at (pretty much everything) the only way to get better is to keep practising. Favourite Crossfit Athlete? (doesn't have to be someone famous) Ben Bergeron What's the best thing you own that cost under $100? A Vox Amp Plug. It’s a headphone amplifier for an electric guitar. Biggest fashion mistake you’ve ever made? My wife would say pretty much everything. That would be fair. Favourite quote? I have several. Memento mori, which translates to remember you must die. Always. A little further. It’s from a book The Resilience Shield co-written by Tim Curtis, who has trained at CFC. The third is from former SEAL Jocko Willink: Good! As in: “This is a workout where all the movements are things I’m bad at. Good!” What's your fav 90s jam? I’m a rocker from way back so Early Warning Baby Animals. Last thing you watched on TV? SAS Australia Funniest thing that happened to you recently? I lost power at home last Monday. The technician Western Power sent out was part of a group of friends I had in the early 1990s. As these things happen we all fell out of touch and I’d not seen him since 1997. Most used emoji? I don’t emoji. If you could have one other CrossFit Claremont members body part, what would it be? Nate’s smile.
